Obituary

St. George, UT - Aaron C. Card finished his mortal journey on September 10, 2013 after a brief illness at home in St. George, Utah where he and his wife have lived for nearly ten years. He was fifth born of eight children and was raised in Cardston, Alberta, Canada by his parents Joseph and Pearl.

As a youth he was active in scouting and earned the King (Eagle) Scout award. He graduated from BYU with BA and MA degrees. He married Bonita of Highland, Utah in 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They parented 23 children and nurtured 24 others mostly in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He and Bonita now have 70 grandchildren and 78 great-grandchildren. They received several special recognitions for their parenting efforts including 1983 Utahs Family of the Year and 1988 Utah Citizens of the Year.

He taught in public school for 24 years. He then became a teacher and administrator for LDS seminaries and institutes for an additional 19 years including 3 years in Samoa. He narrated for Utah Pageant of the Arts for 19 seasons. He and his wife served several missions for the LDS Church. His life has been full of work, challenges, and joys.

Funeral and interment will be in Utah Valley at a later date.
