Veyo, Utah - With her great love for people and places, Abbys passing from mortality is the next adventure to add to her extensive travel log. She made friends wherever she went, and surely this journey will result in the same.

Abby is the eleventh of Lloyd and Ruth Leavitts twelve children and is survived by her parents and siblings: Jeri (Scott) Burton, Sheila (Ray) Jones, Lem (Laura) Leavitt, Cindy Leavitt, Lisa (Bob) Pead, Amy (Richard) Merkley, Eva Leavitt, Valerie Leavitt, Luke Leavitt, Florence Leavitt (Phil Lytle) and Brad (Emma) Leavitt; as well as 21 nieces and 22 nephews.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Abby served a mission to Wisconsin and loved the Gospel. She served as Primary President and as a counselor in the Young Women program. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, pursuing the arts and working as an office manager and personal assistant for GAN Telecard.

Abby wished to express love and appreciation to the staff and fellow clients at Dixie Dialysis Center for their care and friendship, to her father who gave such tender care, and especially to her mother who "wasnt just my mom, but was also my best friend. I came to realize I could tell her anything."

Funeral services will held Friday, December 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Veyo LDS Ward Chapel, 176 East Center Street, Veyo, Utah. Visitations will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah and on Friday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel.
