Obituary

St. George, Utah – Adam Lebertis Westover, 102, passed away September 1, 2016. He was born October 4, 1913, to Joseph Ernest Westover and Mariam Alvira Welker in Gunnison, Sanpete County, Utah, in an old adobe house next to the 175 acres of farm land his family worked. He was the youngest of twelve children. He lived primarily in Centerville, Utah; Milford, Utah; Lancaster and Palmdale, California, during his younger years.
Adam has worked primarily in agriculture, farming and dairy businesses.  He was a machinist at Mare Island in Vallejo, California, and at Rohr Aircraft in Riverside , California. He was Production Operations Manager for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Welfare Citrus Project in Southern California from 1956-1976. He then retired and lived in Eugene, Oregon, and Gold Beach, Oregon, before he moved to Hurricane, Utah in 1984, later moving to St. George, Utah  in 1989.
He married Vilate Snowball in 1933.  they  had three children.  She passed away in 1997.  Adam married Alita Patricia Marcucci Schultz in 1998.  Alita survives him, along with a family of 11 children, 31 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Snow Canyon LDS Stake Center, 1184 North Dixie Downs Road, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Tuesday, prior to services, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery.
