Adrian Earl Ferguson, Jr. St. George, Utah - Adrian Earl Ferguson, Jr. passed away January 21, 2011. He was born May 14, 1926 in Stockton, Utah to Adrian Earl and Dorothy Gertrude Gundry Ferguson. He married Beverly Jean Larson February 4, 1950, later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Adrian was raised in Salt Lake City and attended Granite High School. He joined the Army and served in the Philippines during World War II. He graduated from BYU with his Bachelors Degree in Business. Throughout his life, he worked in retail clothing sales for JC Penny, ZCMI, and Farah Manufacturing Company before opening his own retail clothing store, Adrians. He retired to St. George in 1999. He enjoyed family time. He was an avid history reader, especially the Civil War. He was a member of the Deseret Gym, where he swam every morning for over 40 years. He frequently reminded his family, Money is for counting, not spending. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as Gospel Doctrine teacher, in the Bishopric, and worked in the St. George LDS Temple. Adrian is survived by his wife, Beverly Jean; his children: Mark Adrian Ferguson of Kaysville, UT, Craig L. (Debra) Ferguson of Farmington, UT, Brent Earl (Danna) Ferguson of Kaysville, UT, David William (Dixie ) Ferguson of St. George, UT, Matthew Lee (Karen) of St. George, UT, Diana Elizabeth (Kevin L.) Hampton of Fruit Heights,UT, Nancy Ann (Blake) Green of Centerville, UT, Caroline (Duane) Wallin of Enterprise, UT, and John Carter (Lisa) Ferguson Kaysville, UT. He is also survived by a brother, Roger Ferguson of West Valley, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter-in-law, Margaret; grandchildren: Jared and Bradley; and great-grandchild Hadlee. Visitation will be held in St. George on Monday, January 24, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah and in Bountiful on Tuesday, January 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street . Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ricks Creek LDS Chapel, 1475 North 50 East, Centerville, Utah. where visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel, prior to services. Interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
