Murray, UT - Alberta (Albie) Lillian Harmer Dickson Cornell, age 85, passed away September 28, 2009 in Murray, UT. She was born February 15, 1924 in Spanaway, WA., to Leonard and Lois Harmer. She married Bartlett Dickson, Jr., in Tacoma, WA. She later married Donald G. Cornell on July 29, 1969 in Tacoma, WA., and sealed in the St. George LDS Temple December 16, 1987. She worked for Intermountain Health Care Hospital for 17 years and was a volunteer until her passing and was also on the Board of Medicine for 4 years. She loved baseball, swimming, golf, and basketball in her early years. Albie loved people and treasured her membership in the LDS Church. She is survived by her husband Donald G. Cornell; 11 children and 127 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one sister, Lola Bell Norton. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 2, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., at the St. George LDS 17th Ward Chapel, 200 W. 500 N., St. George, UT. A visitation will be held Thursday, from 5-7 p.m., at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., and Friday, from 12:30-1:45 p.m., at the chapel, prior to services.
