IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alice Margaret
Foremaser Forsyth
March 14, 1931 – August 24, 2012
St. George, Utah - Alice Margaret Foremaster Forsyth, 81, returned to her Heavenly Father August 24, 2012, peacefully in her home. She was born March 14, 1931 at her ranch home in Pahranagat Valley (Richardville) Alamo, NV to Carl Eli Foremaster and Emma Alice Richard.
She met and married Allen Dale Forsyth on September 13, 1951 and later was sealed for time and eternity in the St. George LDS Temple on February 2, 1962.
They started their lives together in Tempeute, NV and then moved to North Las Vegas. Later they moved out in to the County (Las Vegas), followed by Dammeron Valley, UT, and finally St. George.
While raising her four sons, family activities revolved around all kinds of sporting activities, especially baseball and basketball.
Over the years Alice held many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society, but had a special place in her heart for the time she served in the Nursery. Her love for children was ever evident as she was actively involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her life was based around compassionate service for others, including animals. In the animal kingdom the word was out, because they came to her for food, water, shelter and love. Critters often included cats, dogs, and hummingbirds. She would even care for an occasional skunk, raccoon, or lizard. She never turned away anybody or animal in need. She was so kind and giving here on earth and now heaven has received a great addition. Thank you mom, we love you so much and will miss you. Until we meet again.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen; brothers: John Richard Foremaster, Robert Carl Foremaster; and baby sister, Emma Faye. She is survived by her four sons: Mark Forsyth, David (Sonja) Forsyth, Carl (Gail) Forsyth, Kent (Nikki) Forsyth; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Thursday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary. Interment will follow services at Tonaquint Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
