St. George, Utah - Alita Marcucci Schultz Westover was born February 5, 1929, in Plains, PA. She was the third of five children born to Attilio and Deso­lina Marcucci. She grew up on a farm in Spring Hill, PA. She graduated from Mansfield College in 1949 in elementary ed­ucation. She married Lester E. Schultz in 1951 in Norfolk, VA on the Naval Base. The two of them converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and remained active throughout their lives. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan, UT Temple in 1962.

Alita served as a Primary President, Stake Relief Society President, and taught the Gospel Doctrine class. She loved to teach and is remembered as a great teacher. She taught in the Norfolk, VA school system as well. She loved to sing and dance, play the organ, and write beautiful poetry. She was al­ways singing around the house… she was literally a "singing mother." She loved animals and being outdoors- including gardening.

Her greatest joy was in raising her eight children: Mark Schultz, Jon Schultz, Linda Harbin, Karen Heath, Matthew Schultz, Tammy Glossin, Stephen Schultz, and Terri Schultz.

In 1994, she moved from Virginia Beach, VA to St. George, UT. In 1998, she married Adam L. Westover. They were married for 18 years. She has 26 grandchildren and 57 great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Togle Marcucci and her sister, Hope Plewak.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the LDS Chapel located at 1068 West Chandler Drive, St. George UT. A visitation will be held Friday, prior to services, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery, 600 East Tabernacle Street.
