St. George, Utah - Andrew Earl Hardy passed away June 15, 2015. He was born January 31, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John James and Manila May Willden Hardy. He married Ruth Johnson on February 12, 1941. They had one child, Karen. Ruth passed away on January 24, 1986. He married Ludeen Goodfellow Gibbons on April 10, 1987. Andy was a Veteran of World War II. After 33 years of service, he retired from the Utah National Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, John and May Hardy; brother, John "Jack" Willden Hardy; and sister, Minnie May Hardy Neslen. He is survived by his wife, Ludeen; daughter, Karen (Charles) Hart; step-daughter, Shawna (Myron) Knighton; sister, Velma C. Hardy Boyce; brother, Paul L. (Barbara) Hardy; three grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held in St. George, Utah on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Morningside LDS 2nd Ward Building located at 879 South River Road. Graveside services will be held in Bountiful, Utah on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Gardens located at 1640 East Lakeview Drive.
