Obituary

St George Utah - Partha Ann Gardner Sullivan Cannon, age 85, passed away January 1, 2024, in her home in St. George, Utah. Ann was born January 27, 1938, in St. George, Utah to Leornal and Partha Ann Jacobson Gardner. Ann married her high school sweetheart, Charles Lenzi Sullivan in the St. George LDS Temple on April 6, 1955.They were married 41 years and raised 6 sons. Chuck died July 9, 1996.  Ann married Ellis Kay Cannon on May 25, 2002, in Pine Valley, Utah, they were married 20 years. Kay died Sept 11, 2022.

Ann was the youngest of 8 kids. She loved spending time at her family's ranch in Central, Utah.  She created an oasis on her corner of the ranch that she called "Sullivan Sunset Ridge." She loved hosting many family reunions and campouts there. She also loved spending time at her cabin in Pine Valley that was built mostly by her sons. She loved spending time around water: lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons at the city pool on 200 S, starting as many water fights as she could with her brothers and/or grandkids, boating and taking trips to Lake Powell, and going on cruises later in life. She loved hosting her family for the annual pizza and swim parties and the holiday get-togethers, especially Christmas Eve parties.

Ann is survived by her sons: Stan, Brian (Betty), Steve (Kathy), Carl (Danette), Sean (Kristin), and Scott; 32 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Malin and George Gardner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her siblings: Edward, Helen Carter, Mary Simmons, Leo, and Melvin. Great grandchildren: Samantha Jo Sullivan, Shane Trevor Speirs, and Liberty Ann Burgett.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the St. George Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, located at 591 W. 500 N. St. George, Utah.

A visitation will be held prior to the funeral services at the stake center, from 9:30-10:30 am.

Interment will be in the Pine Valley, Utah cemetery next to her eternal companion, Chuck.
