Obituary

St. George, Utah – Bliss Ann Rivera, our beloved mom, grandma, and friend, born September 12, 1940, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025, in her home, surrounded by the love and comfort of her friends and family. If you were lucky enough to know Ann, you know she was a true testament of strength. She pushed through life's challenges with quiet grit and resilience, all with a beautiful smile on her face.

Ann had a keen eye for detail and could always find beauty where others may pass it by. She found joy in a thrift store bargain and the quiet satisfaction of her garden blooming and the many animal visitors it brought to her door. She loved the magic and preparation of the holidays, where she always made sure there was enough food to feed a small army. But above all, Ann's heart belonged to her family. "I have the most wonderful family" were among some of the words we repeatedly heard, up until the very end.

No matter the distance, Ann had a way of keeping you close. She was always thinking about her loved ones and never let them forget they were on her mind. She was the person you turned to, the one who listened, and the one who always offered her wisdom and love with that same beautiful smile on her face. Her famous words, "I love you more," were more than just words – they were a promise she lived out every day. Her beautiful and outgoing spirit touched every person she came in contact with. We are eternally grateful for her love and support and the huge impact she made on each and every one of us.

"When you lose someone you love, you gain an angel you know."  We will miss you every day; your unconditional love will live in our hearts forever. We love you more.

Ann is survived by her children: Ken (Leslie) Rivera, Michelle (Dave) Ortez, Troy (Amy) Rivera; her grandchildren: Alexxandra Rivera, Samanatha Rivera, Cassidy Rivera, Kylie (Lee) Flores, Carson Ortez, and Andrew Ortez; and her great grandchildren: Owen, Arizona, Everest, Beckham, Mya, Sophia, and Marshall.
