IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Annette Cecile
Scholl
April 9, 1948 – October 12, 2012
St. George, Utah - Annette Briano Scholl , 64, of St. George, Utah passed away at home on Friday, October 12, 2012. She experienced an acute medical event subsequent to a lengthy, but successful, battle with cancer for the past twenty years. She was more recently preceded in death by her husband, Albert Brundage Scholl and her sister Joan Archer.
Annette was born in Glendale, California on April 9, 1948 to Emil and Doris Briano of No. Hollywood, CA. She was raised in North Hollywood where she attended local private schools. She earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from San Diego State University in 1969. Annette married Albert Scholl in Las Vegas in 1978.
Annette is survived by her adoring son, Eric, his wife Kristie, and the light of her life, six month old Austin, her new grandson; and her adorable step-granddaughter, lily Hannah Pomeroy; as well as her in-laws, Roy and Jean Huff and their children: Stephen (Annie) Huff, Sean, Jamie (John)Bates and Andrew. She is also survived by her stepson, Albert Scholl, III of San Diego, CA and her step-grandson, Albert Scholl, IV. She is also mourned by her sister, Dona, and her husband Clarence, together and several nephews and a niece.
Annette enjoyed a full and exciting life with the love of her life, her husband, Al. They traveled extensively and specially loved sailing, skiing, as well as just having fun. They first lived near Boston, Massachusetts, where they joyously welcomed their son, Eric, in 1981. They then moved to the small bay community of Larkspur, CA. True happiness was found after moving to St. George, Utah, where they established many wonderful friendships within the community and throughout the church.
Annette was bigger than life. She was a woman of substance who was beautiful, talented and witty. She possessed great empathy for all with whom she made contact. Her sense of humor, infectious laugh and nurturing qualities are the stuff of legends. She was an avid reader and a great fan of all things political. She loved to write, and exhibited her talents over the years in published newspaper short stories. She was firm in her beliefs and never complained. She was brave in the face of pain and adversity and never gave up! She will be sorely missed by her family, friends, and co-workers. Rest well, our sweet angel! Eric just wanted to say "I Love You, Mom."
