Obituary

St George, Utah - Annie Beatrice Fox Forshee passed away April 13, 2015 of cause's incident to old age and Alzheimer's. She was born on October 14, 1920, in Springville, Utah, to John Alfred Fox and Margaret Chloe Boyer. She was the fifth of nine children. She married James Edward "Ed" Forshee in the Manti LDS Temple on June 28, 1942. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2014. Annie was blessed with the ability to play any piece of music that was put in front of her and was known all over Utah Valley as an accomplished pianist. Music was her life and she accompanied many singers throughout her life time having learned the love of music early through hearing her father sing to her as a child. She also played the french horn and violin in high school; was a member of the Musette's (a singing group); and also in the Springville Playhouse Group. She served as ward organist throughout her life of service to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as a R. S. teacher. She retired from work as Administrative Assistant to the Director of Utah Valley Hospital in 1985. Later she and her husband moved to St. George to be closer to their daughter. Annie is survived by her sisters: Lula Anderson and Doreen (Ron) Schouten; sisters-in-law: Jean (Merlin) Fox and Joan (Marshall) Fox; daughter, Pamela Hakey; grandsons: Scott (Yvonne) Campbell of Lehi, Utah, Colin (JiaJia) Campbell of Alexandria, VA, Brendan (Breea) Campbell of Longmont, CO, Derek (Kendra) Campbell of Hurricane, UT, and Kevin (Brooke) Campbell of Washington, UT; and great-grandchildren: Braden Campbell, Brynley Campbell, Rowena Campbell, Ethan Campbell, Eliza Wright, Murren Campbell, Faith Campbell, Sebastian Campbell, Megan Campbell, Joshua Campbell and Benjamin Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Helen, Margaret, Cleone (Toni), Rulon, Merlin and Marshall. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at the Washington City Cemetery, Washington, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary on 288 W. St. George Blvd., St George, Utah. Friends and family are invited to join the family afterwards for a light luncheon.
