St. George, Utah - Arthur Raymond Ramos passed away December 11, 2009 at the age of 94. He was born May 28, 1915 in Culiacan, Mexico, State of Sinaloa. At the age of 3, he came to the US and settled in Los Angeles, California. In 1938 he married his wife and loving companion Jessie Gonzales. He enlisted in the Navy in 1941 and became a US citizen as he served his Country in World War II. In February 1941, he welcomed his first daughter, Barbara Mae and in 1942 his second Genevieve Celia. He was a caring and loving father who showered his daughters with love. He was a wonderful Grandfather to his 7 grandchildren, Diane, Cynthia (married to Trent George, 1994), Johnny, Elaine (married to Daniel Trotter, 2006), Gina, Robert and Darlene. He was a blessing to his many great-grandchildren including Dub and Ben Clark of Washington. His love for horseracing, Dixieland music, ice cream and his one drink of vodka a day are what he contributed to his longevity. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
