IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Asha Devi
Hagan
January 4, 1985 – December 17, 2012
St. George, Utah - On Monday, December 17, 2012, Asha Devi Hagan returned to the presence of her Heavenly Father. Her mission on this earth has been completed. Asha was an active member of the LDS Church and was a Primary Teacher in the Bloomington Hills 8 th Ward, a calling she enjoyed ever so much. She had a great love for children - and they for her.
Asha was the adopted daughter of Janice and Joseph Hagan of St. George. She was born on January 4, 1985 in Calcutta, India. She arrived in the home of Janice in Salt Lake City on April 2, 1985. Asha had been born prematurely and weighed less than four pounds at birth. She spent those three months building enough strength to make the long journey from Calcutta to Salt Lake City. Janice had adopted her as a single parent. Her desire was to give this little child a chance in life, to raise her up in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Two years after Ashas birth, Janice and Joe were married and sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on January 24, 1987. Asha was sealed to her parents at that time.
Asha is survived by her adoptive parents, Joe and Janice Hagan of St. George, Utah; Aunts, Jackie (Carl) Johnsen and Barbara Lyman of Salt Lake City. She was attending Dixie State College seeking a degree in computer graphics and design. She was active in the student government programs at DSC.
We will now have a very large void in our home. Asha was always going "a hundred miles an hour" and gave us so much joy. She was generous with her time and always willing to be helpful to family and friends alike. We will miss her expert knowledge of computers as well as her counsel on preventing viruses.
Asha had a number of health issues that were of great concern to herself as well as to her parents. We know that Our Heavenly Father has blessed her with His kind and tender mercies - and welcomed her home with honor.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bloomington Hills LDS 8 th Ward Chapel, 1222 East Brigham Road, St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 west St. George Blvd. and on Saturday, prior to services, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will be held Saturday evening at the Manti Cemetery, Manti, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary 435-673-4221.
