Santa Clara, Utah - Audrey May Stewart passed away peacefully March 20, 2012. She was born September 4, 1925 in Vale, South Dakota to Kent Lowrey Roberts and Delia Pauline Seielstad. She married her eternal companion Sumner Kent Stewart January 18, 1946 in Contra Costa, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. They were blessed with five boys.
Audrey was a homemaker most of her life. She was a great cook and enjoyed trying new recipes. She was very gifted musically. She played many instruments including the accordion, banjo, organ, piano and more.
She was a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings throughout her life. Her testimony of the Savior never wavered.
Audrey is survived by her sons: Greg (Jodi) of Thayne, Wyoming and Grant (Linda) of Cedar City; daughter-in-law, Nancy of Hurricane; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sumner Kent; and sons: Mark Wayne, Dennis Dale and Gary Udall.
A special thanks to Kathy Wilson for her devotion and taking such great care of mom.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Clara LDS Ward Chapel, 3040 West Santa Clara Drive, Santa Clara, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will be held Saturday at the Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada at 3:30 p.m. (Nevada Time). Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
