Bacle Don Taylor St. George, UT - Bacle Don Taylor, 92 passed away peacefully August 14, 2009 in St. George, Utah. He was born February 2, 1917 to Bacle David Taylor and Ruth Harper Taylor in Provo, Utah. He married Lucille Farnsworth on August 5, 1939. After nearly 50 years of marriage, she passed away on May 4, 1989. He married Verna Mae Forry Baldwin on February 9, 1990. Verna preceded him in death in 2005. Early on his family moved to a ranch near Duchesne, Utah. He was the eldest of six children, four of whom are still living. His family later moved to Provo. Following graduation from high school he enlisted in the 145th Field Artillery of the Utah National Guard and enrolled in BYU. During orientation week he met Lucille Farnsworth from Dublan, Mexico. They fell in love and were married in San Francisco, California on August 5, 1939, where Don found employment with Bank of America. He worked for several accounting firms before accepting work at Dole Pineapple Co. Don was drafted into the army in 1945. Following his discharge, they made their home in San Jose, California. In 1968 Don moved to St. George, Utah where he worked and taught accounting at Dixie College until retirement in 1985. His interests include landscaping, ranching, photography, polishing stones, and family history. He is revered and admired by his family, including his three: sons B. Don II (Lynette), Michael Dale (Linda), and Gregory Owen (Angela); 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Special appreciation to the staff of Ridgeview Gardens, Kolob Care and Rocky Mountain Hospice for their loving care and concern. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Visitations will be Friday, August 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services, at the mortuary. Interment will be at the St. George City Cemetery.
