Obituary

Hurricane, Utah - Barbara Morgan Gray, 80, returned home to her Heavenly Father on January 10, 2012. She was born on April 11, 1931 in Torrance, CA to Ralph Wallace Morgan and Linda Victoria Baggaley. Barbara graduated from Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, CA in 1949. She attended El Camino College. She married John Hunter Gray in the St. George LDS Temple on October 21, 1950. She worked as a secretary for six years until her children came along. She was a wonderful and caring mother. Barbara was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as Relief Society President, Secretary in many auxiliaries and many callings in the Mutual and Primary. She spent many years teaching the handicapped in Primary. She served a mission with John to the Family History Center in Mesa, AZ. Barbara had a giving and kind nature. She set a great example to everyone around her. She never said anything bad about anyone and was content to be in the background. She gave everything to her family so we nicknamed her The Saint . We all love her and will miss her. Barbara is survived by her children: Eileen (Rich) Rathke of Hurricane, Utah, John (Cathy) Gray, Jr. of Wasilla, AK and Donald (Renee) Gray of Vacaville, CA; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Thank you to all at Southern Utah Home Health for their care and support. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hurricane City Cemetery.
