St. George, Utah - Barbara Jean Liske, 89, passed away on February 25, 2025. She was born on May 11, 1935 in Summit Lake, WI, to John and Leona Neumeg Cookson. She grew up in West Allis, WI, and graduated from Nathan Hale High School in West Allis. After graduation she attended Michael Reese Hospital School of Nursing. She went on to become a Private Duty Nurse specializing in Pediatrics and her love of infants continued throughout her life.

Barbara met the love of her life, Wayne Anthony Liske, and they were married on December 29, 1955, in West Allis, WI. Together they enjoyed traveling and exploring the world. Family was always important in her life.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Wayne Anthony Liske; her children: Colette Housman of Arlington, TX; Cheryl (Jeff) Davis of El Dorado Hills, CA; Doreen (Jeff) Struthers of St. George, UT; Denise (Craig) Brinkerhoff of St. George, UT, Larry (Karen) Liske of Theresa, WI.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Further survivors include her brother, John (Elsie) Cookson and brother-in-law, Dale Liske.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Leona; granddaughter, Connie Brinkerhoff; siblings, Donna, Betty, Joanne, Norine, Kathleen, and Virginia.

As per Barbara's wishes there will be no services. Interment will be at St. George City Cemetery.
