Obituary

Ivins, Utah – Barbara Jean Ford Williams, 88, of Allen, Texas passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 29, 2022. She was the youngest of 8 children, born May 18, 1933, in Mutual, Oklahoma to James William Ford and Maude Marie Boone Ford. She met her husband, Edison Paul Williams, when he helped repair her car. They were married on March 1, 1953. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2011.

Barbara was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from the time she was baptized in 1972. She served many years in church youth and women's organizations. In 1987 she and her husband served together as missionaries in Salt Lake City at the church Family History Library. She spent many years serving in church Temples. Most recently, Barbara served in her church nursery.

Barbara had a love of learning, graduating 2 nd in her class at Sharon-Mutual High School in Mutual, Oklahoma. She was exceptional with puzzles and numbers, having worked 35 years in banking. She made friends easily and always had a joke or story to share. Everyone who knew Barbara knew of her fire and spunk.

Barbara is survived by two sons: Eric (Cheryl) and Mark (Teena); 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ivins City Cemetery, 200 West 400 North, Ivins, Utah.
