Ben Sisneros Jr. Syracuse, Utah - Ben Sisneros Jr, 70 passed away peacefully in his home on November 21, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 29, 1939 in Phoenix, Arizona to Ben Sisneros and Juanita Rameriz. He married Linda Jean Scott on April 11, 1959. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. Ben was raised in Pocatello, Idaho and graduated from Pocatello High School. He trained as a machinist at Idaho State University. He married his high school sweetheart Linda. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 28 years. He served on the Syracuse city council and was involved in the city sports program for several years. He was an active member of the LDS church where he served in numerous callings including Elders quorum president, bishoprics, and the stake high council. He and his wife served two missions, one in the church history program and the other with LDS family services. His greatest joy came from spending time with his children and grandchildren. He never missed an activity they were involved in. He was an avid fisherman and sports fan. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening and serving his neighbors. He is survived by his wife, Linda Jean Scott. Children include Larry (Jan) Sisneros of Syracuse, Julie (Lance) Davenport of Syracuse, David (Jennifer) Sisneros of Clinton, and Amber (Andrew) Davenport of Syracuse. His Mother Juanita Alvarez and Step Father A.G. Alvarez of Pocatello, Idaho. Siblings Steve, Paul, Tony, and Raquel, 20 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, with 2 more expected. He was preceded in death by his sister Helen, brother Richard, and grandparents Francisco and Lupe Rameriz. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Syracuse 7th Ward LDS Chapel 1625 South 1100 West in Syracuse, Utah. Friends and Family may call Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Church. Interment will be at the Syracuse City Cemetery.
