Hurricane, Utah - Bette Joyce Shearer, 85, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, April 28, 2021.

Bette was a long time resident of Hurricane, UT and lived in Saint George, UT, and Las Vegas, NV. She was the daughter of Huel Heber Christensen and Mary Lerena Andrews Christensen. She was born in Rupert, Idaho and had one brother Huel Dean Christensen.

Bette married LeRoy J. Shearer Jr. in New York in 1956. They had three children, Karen, Douglas, and Gregory.

Bette is preceded in death by LeRoy; her parents; her brother; her daughter, Karen; her son Douglas; and her good friend and longtime companion, Gordon Walker (pictured).

She is survived by her son Gregory; niece, Tara; six grandchildren; and at least six great-grandchildren.

Per Bette's wishes, no visitation or service will be held. A life celebration will be held in the future.
