St. George, Utah - Betty Jean Jacobs passed away Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013. She was born August 24, 1921 in Fondulac, Wisconsin to Herbert William Smith and Edna Vivian Smith.

Betty was raised in Arizona with her late brother, Rodney and sister Dorothy. She married Paul Anthony Jacobs on September 5, 1942 in Los Angeles, California. During their years together, they spent many wonderful times at Refugio Beach and the Colorado River.

She is survived by her children: John Jacobs of Placentia, CA, Diane OHara of Winchester Hills, St. George, UT and Mike Jacobs of Lancaster, CA. She is also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Michael Paul Jacobs, Jake Jacobs, Natalie Wlotzko, Matt Houser, Matt Jacobs, Maria Page and Leslie Ellington; along with seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Tonaquint Cemetery, St. George, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
