Obituary

Betty Jane Hardman Eyre Siddoway, beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones at the age of 91 on May 4, 2026 after a short battle with cancer.

She was born January 27, 1935, in Lindon, Utah to David Truvere Hardman and Elda Grace Hoopes.

She loved growing up with her five siblings on their parents’ dairy farm. She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School; she loved going to the high school reunions to see former classmates and to stay in touch.

She married Parley Thomas Eyre and raised five children; Bob, Barbara, David, Carrie and Sheila. Parley Thomas passed away in 1991 and she remarried Glen Daley from St. George, Utah. He died in 2000. She then married Ross Siddoway and lived in Santa Clara, Utah until his passing in 2012.

During her life she worked in retail at Cornet’s and Christensen’s Department store’s but mostly devoted her life to her family. Her love for her kids and grandchildren was her life.

She lived a life grounded in faith, service and love. As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many callings, touching many lives.

She is preceded in death by many who welcomed her in loving arms and a kiss on the cheek.

She is survived by her son, David Eyre (Ona); daughter, Carrie Taylor (Theron); and daughter, Sheila Snow (Tom); sister, Gwen Rawlings (Ralph); and brother-in-law, Conrad Loader. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at the Santa Clara LDS 14th Ward Chapel, 630 Riesling Ave., Santa Clara, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday, evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Metcalf Bonzo Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah and Saturday, prior to services, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the chapel. Interment will be in the Santa Clara City Cemetery located at 1950 Ancestor Way.
