St. George, UT - Beverly Dot Wilcox Mangum passed away at home in the arms of her loving husband and son, on February 4, 2010. She faced multiple health challenges with a buoyant spirit, and was an example to all. She was born on April 8, 1937 in Virgin, Utah to Ernest Hugh Wilcox and Thelma Flanigan. On February 20, 1956, she married Bill Mangum in Las Vegas, New Mexico. They and their three sons were sealed in the St. George Temple on June 10, 1964. Beverly is survived by her lifelong sweetheart, Bill, her son, Layne B. (Bill ), his wife, Janet Faye Wilson and her grandchildren Eric Joseph, Amber Faye, Travis Layne, Chelsea Janet, Jaymie Nicole, Christie Dot, Rashell, Celeste and Rose, and one great grandchild, Chelsea Abigail, Michael Mortensen (close family friend), his wife Deseree, and their three children. Also her brothers and sisters Budd Wilcox, Faye Turnbaugh, Donna Rae Stephens, Hulene Nicholson, and Joseph Fred Gardner. She was preceded in death by her sons Dale Clarence, and Faron Hugh, his wife Glenna Montag, and her five siblings Lenard, Wanda, Dean and stillborn twins. A viewing will be held on Monday, February 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 9 at 10:00 am at the St. George City Cemetery, 750 E Tabernacle. In lieu of flowers, Beverly would prefer to have donations made to The Huntsman Cancer Institute.
