Obituary

Brad Edwin Steggell 3/22/55 ~ 3/19/09 Central, UT - Brad left for his next adventure on March 19, 2009, while in the comfort of his home in Central, Utah. The failure of his heart was not a failure of his spirit. His wife, best friend, and love of his life, Judy, will sojourn here while he discovers what lies ahead. Brad was born in Salt Lake City, attended Bountiful High School and received his B.S. degree from the University of Utah. He served in the Utah National Guard. Brads determination and success in living his life one day at a time made him a special soul for all those who knew him. His joy in the rocks, water and woods was a driving force in his life that led him to a career with Utah State Parks & Recreation. His work took him to many of the most scenic and fantastic locations Utah has to offer, protecting not only the people but the nature in these special places. His wife, children Deanna (Mark) and Milo, grandson Raydon, parents George and Marilyn Steggell, siblings Dan (Cheryl Ann), Sandi (Reid) Andrews and Ralph (Cheryl Lynne), nieces and nephews will continue the journey here while he travels ahead. Brad continues on, carrying with him all our enduring love and memories, and leaves us better for his being a part of our lives. The family will celebrate Brad as he wished, with simple joy, gratitude and nature. Place your thoughts upon the wind so he may find them in his travels. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds.
