St. George - Burton Keltz Gibson, 86, began a new journey on April 7, 2021. He passed away peacefully at home in St. George, Utah. Burt was a loving husband, father, and friend. He was born December 11, 1934 to Frank and Winnie Gibson, he was the youngest of eleven children. After graduating from high school, Burt served two years in the Army, he returned home and married the love of his life, Kathleen Margie Dell, November 1959.

Burt and Kathleen raised their children in Lewistown, Montana where Burt was the manager of The Farmers Union Oil Company. After retiring he became a Motel owner/manager.

Burt built a cabin on Holter Lake in Montana, it was a special place with lots of friends and family over the years. After retiring from the Motel business Burt and Kathleen spent winters in St. George, Utah. Burt loved life, family, friends, boating and golf.

Burt is survived by one child, Melanie (Mark) Tyler; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Nellie Ricketts of Wenachee Washington. He was preceded in death by his sweetheart Kathleen; son, Kenneth Gibson; and daughter, Dawn Tonskemper.

There will be a celebration of life later this summer in Montana.

He will be greatly missed; we love you dad.
