IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Byron Maynard,
Sr.
June 18, 1947 – February 25, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Byron Maynard, who left this world at the age of 77. Byron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Byron shared a beautiful life with his loving wife, Sharon, and together they raised three wonderful children: Byron Jr. Maynard, Kerri Hinkins (Marty Hinkins), and Deven Maynard (Trisha Maynard). His legacy continues through his six cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, with two more blessings on the way.
A man of faith, Byron served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he dedicated himself to serving others and spreading kindness.
A hardworking man, Byron spent most of his life as a trucker, developing an unwavering work ethic that he carried into every aspect of his life. He had a deep love for his family and took great pride in watching his grandchildren participate in sports and activities, especially baseball. Always quick with a joke, Byron had a stubborn streak, but it was part of what made him so special. He was wise, full of stories, and always found a way to put a unique twist on life.
Byron left a lasting mark on so many, whether through his humor, wisdom, or the kindness he showed to those around him. His presence was one that could brighten a room, and his impact will never be forgotten.
A memorial luncheon in Byron's honor will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Ivins Stake Center, 260 East 1060 South, Ivins, Utah 84738. His family invites all who loved him to join in remembering a man who meant so much to so many.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at St. George Rehab and Zion Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Byron's final days.
Byron's kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family will remain in our hearts forever.
