Obituary

Clarence Edward Hoffman, known to his loved ones as Ed, passed away at the age of 68 on March 17, 2025, in St. George, Utah. Born in Tacoma, Washington, on October 27, 1956, Ed was a devoted husband, father, and a man who dedicated his life to the service of others, always putting his family first.

Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Joy Hoffman, with whom he was married to for time and all eternity on September 14, 1985, in the Oakland California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is also survived by their children: Ben Hoffman, Elizabeth Hoffman [spouse Matthew Wallace], and Brian Hoffman. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Hoffman, whose passing left a deep void in his heart. Ed's love for his family was immeasurable, and his dedication to them was evident in everything he did. He is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Ed worked as a Real Estate Broker and held an MBA, but his true calling was always to help and care for others. Whether he was managing real estate transactions or caring for a loved one, Ed approached every task with dedication and compassion. His love for learning and his pursuit of knowledge were evident in everything he did, from his passion for holistic health to his endless curiosity about car maintenance and fuel systems. He was a lifelong researcher and an avid problem-solver, always striving to find better ways to do things.

Known for his tender heart and sharp intellect, Ed was a man of fairness, financial responsibility, and independence. His acts of service and his commitment to his family and community spoke volumes about his character. He was a quiet hero who led by example, always prioritizing the needs of those around him.

A graveside services were held on March 21, 2025, at the Logan, Utah Cemetery, where family and friends gathered to honor his life and legacy.
