Carma Rae Wright, age 85, died on November 14, 2021, in Everett, Washington. She was born on June 19, 1936, in Cedar City, Utah to Walter LeRoy Ekins and Roma Higbee Ekins. She married Robert Spendlove Wright on January 26, 1956.

Carma spent most of her younger years growing up in Hinckley, Utah with her parents, sister and three brothers. Carma attended grade and high school in Hinckley, Utah. Hinckley High School and Delta High School were consolidated in 1953, so she graduated after her senior year from Delta High in Delta, Utah in May 1954.

Being an Air Force wife, Carma's spare time over the years has been taken up with handiwork including sewing her own clothes with a Sears sewing machine, which saw much use over the years. She also did embroidery, crocheting, knitting, quilting, and making baby gifts. While Carma periodically worked during her life, her focus was on taking care of her home, husband, and son. Family and friends will miss her kind, sweet spirit demonstrated throughout her life.

Carma is survived by her son, Kenneth Scott Wright; four grandchildren: Thomas, David, Allyssa, and Jacob; two great grandchildren: Evan and Calvin, who live in the Seattle area in Washington; and her brothers: Walter Leo Ekins and Eldon LeRoy Ekins.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hurricane 5th Ward building, 274 South 100 West, Hurricane, Utah.

Interment will be in the Hurricane City Cemetery.
