St. George, UT - Carol Lynne Lastowski, age 73, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2013. She was born on February 4, 1940 in Martinez, California to Vernon L. Schmidt and Elaine Anderson Schmidt. She was raised in California and graduated from Barstow High School. She obtained her Nursing Degree at the Good Samaritan Hospital and College of Nursing in LA, California. She cared for her patients for over 30 years. Nursing was a large part of Carols life. The biggest part of her life was her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the LDS Church where she served in various callings. Carols greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, going to plays, musicals, movies and many sleep overs.

Carol is survived by her brother, George Zoller of Siapan; her daughter, Ann Marie Lastowski of Ivins, Utah; son, Michael Vernon Lastowski; daughter-in-law, Tippy Inez Lastowski; and granddaughters: Shayliann Carol Lastowski, Jayden Rose Lastowski and Kadynce Inez Lastowski, all of St. George, Utah

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Red Cliffs LDS 8 ^th Ward Chapel, 625 East Center St., Ivins, Utah. A visitation will be held Wednesday prior to services at the chapel from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Tonaquint Cemetery.
