Obituary

Toquerville, Utah - Carol Ann Wadsworth, 87, was taken into God's loving embrace on November 3, 2023, at St. George Regional Hospital after a courageous battle against rapidly declining health. A celebration of Carol's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 63 Toquerville Boulevard, in Toquerville, UT 84774.
Since only some of the milestones of Carol's life can be conveyed here, the family invites you to use the online Guest Book to add color, depth, and vibrancy to her story by sharing your cherished memories of times with her.  Not only will these jewels be treasured gifts and enduring tributes to a life well lived, but they will also help Carol's young descendants know her better, planting seeds for them to carry forward in their lives.
Carol was born on February 17, 1936, in Saginaw, Michigan.  After moving to Mesa, Arizona with her mother, Carol put her eye for detail to work and was honored with accolades for her contributions in the office of Sears Roebuck and Co. before marrying John (Jack) Snyder on October 19, 1957, in Mesa.  After a brief stay in Flagstaff, Arizona, the couple moved with their three children from Tucson, Arizona to Lakewood, Colorado in 1966, where they remained until Jack passed away in 1996. Carol's main focus during these years was on raising their children while working as the office manager for a successful dental practice.  With their children adults and living independently, Carol married Ken Wadsworth on November 22, 1997, in Lakewood.
For all of her life, Carol especially enjoyed camping and spending time in nature with her beloved dogs, horses, friends, and family. She loved shopping for fashion with her beloved mother, Ann Montjoy (deceased, 1996). Carol was a skilled roller skater and met Jack, a professional Artistic roller skater (figure skating on wheels) at the rink. Over the years, she traded skating for square dancing.  Carol had a great appreciation for the arts and enjoyed theater and buying treasures of all sorts at art festivals.  She kept a beautiful home and garden, and enjoyed time away on road-trips, cruises, and motorcycle and classic-car rides.
Throughout her life, Carol valued being a member of a spiritual community and found great peace in her steadfast faith.
Carol was a beloved wife, mother, and friend.  She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Kenneth Vaughn Wadsworth of Toquerville.
From her marriage with John Francis Snyder, Carol is survived by 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great- grandchildren:
