Washington, Utah - Carolyn Sue Dean Scott, 61, of Washington, UT, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 20, 2010 and now reunited with her beautiful mother, family and God in heaven above. She was born in Lawton, Oklahoma, on February 10, 1949, where she met the love of her life, her George M. Scott III. Surviving is her husband, George, of Washington; their son, George Scott IV, of Washington, their son Jeremy Scott, of St. George; their son and daughter-in-law, Mathew and Malea Scott, of Hurricane; their son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Mary Jo Scott, of Washington; and by her daughter, Kimberly Scott, of Washington. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, Sherrie and her husband, Doug; her sister, Sandy and her husband, Steve; her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann, Rene, and Kathy; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews and their children. Carolyn is pre-deceased by her parents, her beloved sister; her mother and father-in-law, and her grandson, Riley Bruce Scott. She also leaves behind her best friends, Katherine and Anita. Today we have lost the comfort of our mom's presence but she remains the heart of this family. On behalf of our mother we want to express our gratitude to the many kindred spirits who moved and inspired her along the way. Your support and prayers have touched our entire family. Her family would like to thank Dixie Dialysis Center for their incredible love, nursing and therapy; Dixie Regional Medical Center also for making her final days peaceful and so filled with love and support for her and her family. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Wednesday, December 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to services, both at Metcalf Mortuary.
