Obituary

Ivins, Utah - Charles Carter passed away peacefully at home on August 28, 2015. He was born in 1933 in Lexington, Kentucky to Beaulah and Daniel Carter. Chuck spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force where he traveled the world and loved to fly. He later worked for the Post Office for 18 years. He retired in 1990. Chuck met Joan Jarvis at a dance in 1954 at Hill Air Force Base. They were married in 1955 and were blessed with two beautiful daughters. Chuck and Joan moved south to Ivins in 2002 where he could ride his Gold Wing all year. He loved to ride with his buddies every week. Chuck will still be riding or flying somewhere. He loved his family very much and was very proud of them. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Joan; daughters: Lori Carter Anderson and Linda Kay (Gene) Richins; five grandchildren: Eric (Kouri) Richins, Katie (Clint) Benson, Amy (Andrew) Swenson, Tyler Anderson and Lea Anderson; and two great-grandsons: Carter and Ashton Richins.
