Charles Wayne Twitchell
ENTERPRISE, UT — Charles Wayne Twitchell, age 69, passed away peacefully on a beautiful Easter morning, April 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and children in his home. Born May 16, 1956, to Charles and Juliette Twitchell, Charles is the sixth of seven children and remained a proud, lifelong resident of Enterprise.
Known affectionately as “Chuck” throughout his life, he grew up working the family farm alongside his father. It was there that he developed a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors, often spending time fishing by his father's side. Even at a young age, Chuck loved helping others and was always willing to lend a hand to those around him. After graduating from Enterprise High School, Chuck attended Southern Utah University and later completed his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Utah State University.
A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Chuck served a full-time mission in Lansing, Michigan. There he served as assistant to the president under President Kenneth Metcalf. He found great joy in teaching the gospel, a devotion that stayed with him throughout his life.
Chuck’s life changed forever when he met the love of his life, Maria, in their hometown. They were sealed in the St. George, Utah Temple on April 16, 1983. Together, they built a special life in Enterprise, happily raising eight wonderful children. He cherished visiting the temple frequently and often attended with his wife, their children, and grandchildren as they traveled to visit them across the country.
Chuck loved working outdoors and was a talented welder; he was a natural problem-solver who could build or fix anything. Though he was an incredibly strong provider, his happiest moments were the simplest ones: sitting on the porch in the evening, hunting, camping and fishing with his family, or taking his grandchildren on four-wheeler rides. Whether he was roasting marshmallows over a campfire or teaching the grandkids how to trap gophers, Chuck was happiest when he was around his family. His lifelong dream was to retire and spend his days running the family farm he loved so much.
Chuck was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and he will be deeply missed. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria; his eight children: Felicia Wallin, Nichole (Kevin) Cowley, Stephany (Chris) Paine, Charlie (Camille) Twitchell, Tiffinie (Caleb) Astle, Heidi (Jacob) Whatcott, Wesley (Madison) Twitchell, and Emily (Casey) Redding; 35 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and five siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Juliette, and his sister, JoAnn Holt.
Funeral services will be held at the Enterprise, UT Stake Center on April 17th at 11:00 am. Viewings will be held Thursday, April 16th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Metcalf Bonzo Mortuary and April 17th from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the Enterprise, UT Stake Center. Interment will be in the Enterprise City Cemetery.
