St. George, UT - Claire Lefkow was born July 21, 1928 and left us for eternal peace on Sept 19, 2010. She was married to John Lefkow for fifty four happy years. Her two sons Robert and Jason were her pride and joy. She was so proud of their worthy accomplishments and artistic ability. They joined us on numerous vacations and showed us many areas of the west. Claire enjoyed all that life had to offer and was involved with numerous organizations in the St. George area. She cherished the friendships she had. Claire provided the guidance and love that made our lives fun and fulfilling. You could not find a better mother or wife. Claire lived with her family for many years, first in New York City then in Huntington, Long Island. She worked as an executive secretary for various corporations and Huntington Town Hall. She also played a great game of tennis. Being a big city girl all her life, she was reluctant to move out west, but she eventually learned to love St. George, the people, and the scenery. We will all miss her very much. She was a class act. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Tonaquint Cemetery in St. George, Utah. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 22nd from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.
