IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clayton Russell
Bracken
September 24, 1968 – June 14, 2024
Pleasant Grove, Utah – On June 14, 2024, Clayton Russell Bracken, 55, died unexpectedly at home.
Russ was born to Clayton and Betty Bracken on September 24, 1968, as the spoiled baby brother and was the favorite from day one. He grew up in Beryl, Utah where he attended Escalante Valley Elementary and graduated from Enterprise High School.
Russ spent his early years participating in scouting with his dad. He enjoyed spending time camping, hunting, shooting guns and loading his own bullets. He had a great love for nice cars, trucks, and motorcycles. He loved to participate and helped start the demolition derby put on by the Lions Club. If you ever wondered where Russ was, you could usually find him somewhere on his motorcycle.
After high school graduation he attended and graduated from ITT Tech in Salt Lake City, Utah. He went on to work for numerous telecom companies throughout the years including places like Niels Fugal Sons Company, TransCore, Americom and LightLink. He developed many friendships throughout his employment and was often looked to as a "Dad" or "Brother" to the new hires. Everyone enjoyed being around Russ and it was not uncommon for Russ to run into people he knew anytime he went somewhere. His friendships meant the world to him.
Russ met Kristen in 1995 through a mutual friend and lucky for both of them she shared many of his same interests. They spent most of their free time together enjoying one another's company and even finding new hobbies. Recently Kristen was even able to convince Russ to add gardening to his list of hobbies. Anyone that knows Russ, knows that his hobbies often became passions. He was so excited to see what his garden was going to produce. After a long day at work, you would often find Russ reclining in his chair with his fur baby Swaye sitting on his lap. Swaye followed him everywhere.
Russ is survived by his wife, Kristen; sisters: Sondra (Neldon) Jones, Patsy (Lyman) Bundy, Joan (Grant) Staheli; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
