Obituary

St. George, Utah - Clifford Ronald Madsen, age 73, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 6, 2013 in St. George, Utah. Ron was born October 11, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clifford Joseph Madsen and Elva Elizabeth Richards Madsen. He married Arlene Speirs in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were later divorced.

Ron lived in Salt Lake City, Bountiful and St. George, Utah; Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona; and Los Angeles, California. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Central States Mission, U.S.A. Ron enjoyed music, playing his guitar and harmonica, singing, and dancing. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and having fun.

Ron lived his final days in a group home in St. George, Utah and most recently at Seasons Health and Rehabilitation. Ron had a gentle, kind nature and was loved by those who knew him.

He is survive by his daughter, Rebecca (DeWayne) Anderson; sisters: Beth Ann Daige and Carolyn (Tom) Lloyd; brothers: Joel (Sheila) Madsen, Robert (Trisha) Madsen and Ricki (Alma) Madsen; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m., prior to services. Interment will follow services, at the St. George City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
