Obituary

Connie Witt Christensen, age 57, of St. George, Utah, passed away on January 8, 2026, from complications of Early Onset Alzheimer's disease. Born on October 9, 1968, in Pomona, California, Connie was a vibrant, spirited, and deeply creative soul. She lived life fully, loved fiercely, and touched everyone she met with her warmth, humor, and generosity.

Connie attended West Jordan High School before earning both her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Utah. Her talent and dedication led to a 30-year career as a graphic designer, earning her numerous awards and leaving a lasting mark on the industry. Connie's creativity, however, extended far beyond her professional work. She was a gifted portrait artist, capturing emotion and personality in every piece. Her portraits remain treasured by her family as lasting reminders of her ability to truly see the beauty in people.

Connie embraced life with energy and joy. She was an avid runner, loved music and dancing, and had a never-say-die attitude that inspired those around her. She and her husband, Eric, shared a love for creativity and craftsmanship, working side by side on many home projects and restorations. Travel and exploring art scenes around the world fueled her imagination and fed her soul.

Above all, Connie's heart belonged to her family. She loved her husband, Eric, beyond measure and their life together was built on partnership, laughter, and shared dreams. She adored her children—Jordan, Hannah, and Taliesin—and her devotion as a mother shone through everything she did. Family was her greatest joy, and the moments she spent with them were the ones she cherished most. She also loved and valued her siblings—brothers Scott Witt (Megan) and Michael Witt, and sisters Janna Gooch (Greg), Kelly Fowler (James), Lissa Funk (Eric), and Mellanie Horne (Ritchie)—as well as her mother, Janice Henderson Witt, who survives her.

Connie's legacy lives on through her art, her laughter, her resilience, and the countless memories she created with those she loved. She had a rare ability to make people feel seen, celebrated, and deeply loved, and her vibrant spirit will be missed beyond words.

She was preceded in death by her father, Merlin Melvin Witt.

A special thanks goes out to the volunteers and staff of Memory Matters of St. George. Connie loved to be active, and the time she spent there—singing, crafting, playing, and laughing—were some of her most joyful and meaningful moments.

An extra-special acknowledgment goes to Connie's last and best friend, Shannon Jenson. Shannon ensured that Connie stayed engaged, active, and happy throughout her final months, weeks, and days. Together they went on drives and walks, ate ice cream, danced and sang, laughed and cried—all in an effort to make Connie's life as joyful and full as possible until the very end.

My beautiful Babycakes,
You lived with courage, love, and joy. Now you are free from the bonds this disease placed on you. Be at peace with those you love until I can hold you again.

Your Richter,
Eric
