St. George, Utah - Cris Aaron Olson, 61, passed away July 1, 2014. He was born December 16, 1952 in Pomona, California to Ronald and Patricia Olson. He was twice married and divorced.

Cris was raised in West Covina, California, attended Bassett High School in La Puente and went to Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.

Cris lived in Tillamook, OR as a lumberjack, returning to West Covina in 1981 where he became a painter in the construction industry. He moved to St. George in 1993 where he continued his painting career. Cris enjoyed fishing, family events, camping and card games.

He is survived by his parents, Roanld and Pattricia Olson of St. George; brother Bruce (Phyllis) Olson of California; seven nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tracy Jardino; and his granparents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday, prior to services, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary. Interment will be in the Santa Clara City Cemetery.
