Las Vegas, Nevada – Cristin Chester Cox, 58, passed away December 17, 2018. He was born September 09, 1960 in California to Lowell Orton Cox and Donna Rae Harris. He grew up in Bountiful Utah. He graduated from Bountiful High in 1978 and attended Dixie College.
Cris married Maureen Annette McCleve on May 24, 1985 in the Salt Lake Temple, and they were later blessed with three wonderful daughters. He was full of life, and it showed in everything he did. He loved to play the guitar and sing. He loved to dance and watch movies with his girls. He had an innate talent for anything mechanical and was always willing to help friends and family in their times of need. He was a devoted husband and present father.
He entered civil service in August of 1983 as an FAA Licensed A&P Mechanic at Hill AFB, Utah. In 1995 he was transferred to the 57 th Munitions Squadron at Nellis AFB, Nevada. In 2009 Cris' position on the flight line was rifted and he was picked by the 99 th Civil Engineer Squadron where he worked as a Power Production Craftsman until 2013 when he transferred to be an Electrical systems Craftsman. Cris was a hard worker and strived to exceed the standard. He was very patriotic and loved working for his country. He was a mentor and served as a strong foundation to his wingmen.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen; his children: Katrina Tindall (David), Sharon Hildreth (Troy), and Jessie Cox; his mother, Donna Cox; his sister, Cynthia Makin; his sister-in-law, Cydney Cox; and his five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Orton; his brothers: L. Lamoine and Darrell Roy; and his brother-in-law, Steven D. Makin.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Tonaquint Cemetery, St. George, Utah.Tonaquint Cemetery
