IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cynthia Wright
Jenkins
February 24, 1957 – July 12, 2024
Hurricane, Utah - Cynthia Wright Jenkins, 67, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024, in St. George, Utah where she passionately studied her heritage. Born on February 24, 1957, in Henderson, Nevada to Katherine and Arthur Wright, Cynthia was the eldest of three siblings. She was married to her one and only love David Jenkins on May 14, 1977, in Reno, Nevada. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Cynthia grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated from Chaparral High School in 1975. After marrying, her and Dave eventually moved to Southern California, where they raised their family. Before moving to Utah in 2019, she spent many years living in San Luis Obispo, California where she worked at the Performing Arts Center and held other positions at California Polytechnic State University.
Nothing mattered more to Cynthia than her family. She was a deeply caring and compassionate wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. A genuine person that loved to help others, treating everyone she met with enthusiasm and empathy. Cynthia loved learning, listening to music, hearing stories, traveling, exploring the Utah back country, and going on adventures with her grandchildren.
She will be remembered by many as an exceptional person with a wonderful smile, who radiated positivity.
Cynthia is survived by her faithful husband, David Jenkins; their sons: Daniel and Steven, their sons' wives Genae and Lisa; and grandchildren Anina and Caden. She also leaves behind her mother, Katherine Wright, and her sister, Sandra Wright. She is reuniting with her father, Arthur Wright, and brother, Richard.
