St. George, Utah – Cyril "Cy" Stephen Curran passed away peacefully on May 21, 2023.  He was born in Sligo, Ireland, and met his wife Margaret from Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Following their marriage in Northern Ireland they traveled to Canada where they spent three years living in Vancouver.  They made their way to California settling in Sunnyvale where they raised their daughter and son.  Cy retired from Ford Aerospace / Loral Space Systems after 25 years in production planning management working on various satellite projects.  Cy and Margaret spent the next 30 years retired in Saint George, UT.

A faithful and devout Catholic, Saint George Catholic Church was an important part of Cy's life, and he spent many years serving as an Alcolyte, an Eucharistic minister - both in the church and bringing communion to the sick as well as taking care of the maintenance of the church and helping with the seasonal decorations.  He started Helping Hands and was a strong advocate for Adoration and led many rosary recitals.

Cy was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Cy is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Julia Curran; and his wife of 58 years, Margaret. He is survived by his brothers and sisters and their families; children: Patricia (Steve) and Jeff (Samantha); and grandchildren: Erika, Krista, Rachel and Shawn, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m., at the Saint George Catholic Church located at 259 West 200 North.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
