St. George, Utah - Darla Mitchell, 62, passed away June 9, 2017 surrounded by loved ones at her home. She was born in Cedar City, Utah on December 18, 1954 to loving parents Heber Reed Staheli and Ardath Esplin. She married the love of her life, Sheldon R Mitchell. They were married in Enterprise, UT on November 24, 1978 and sealed November 22, 1997 in the St. George LDS Temple.

Darla was raised in Enterprise, UT. She received her Associates Degree and was a member of The Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a book keeper for an Accounting firm for many years. She loved to serve others, especially her family and friends. She loved to laugh and looked forward to getting together for her sister's birthdays, where they would laugh for hours on end. She would make a friend anywhere she would go.

Darla is survived by her husband, Sheldon Mitchell; her children: Tirel (Alicia) Mitchell and Scott Mitchell; 12 grandkids and 4 great grandchildren; and her sisters and brother: Sherri (Marlo) Reber, Delanie (Jim) Cole, Valerie (Dale) Perkins, and Larry (Sandra) Staheli.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd, St. George, Utah. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery.
