Enterprise, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Darlean Hunt Jones, 94, passed away November 26, 2011, in Henderson, Nevada, where she has lived for the past 9 years. She was born April 5, 1917, in Enterprise, Utah to Nephi and Lydia Amelia Barlocker Hunt. She married her sweetheart, Chester Wood Jones, on November 6, 1937, in Cedar City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple on April 12, 1940. They lived in Pioche, NV, St. George, UT, Santa Monica, CA, and finally settled in their hometown Enterprise in 1945. They were blessed with five children: Devon Lee, Mabel, Jerry, Lora Lee and Gaylene.

Darlean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her life was all about her home and family, and as a dedicated homemaker she spent her days improving and maintaining the home. She enjoyed embroidering, quilting and made the best pies in town. As a life-long active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held many callings in all church auxiliaries of which she spent many years as Young Womens Stake Secretary. She especially enjoyed being a visiting teacher with her sister Lea May. She also loved attending the temple often. She kept her scriptures close to her bedside and spent numerous hours reading them up until her passing.

Darlean is survived by her two daughters: Lora Lee (Claude K.) Petersen of Henderson, NV and Gaylene (Howard K.) Kemple of Springville, UT; two sisters: Lea May Jones and Lovella Thomas; a brother, Anthony (Joyce) Hunt; son-in-law, Charles Kincaid; daughter-in-law, Marie Jones;17 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren with 2 on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester W. Jones (2000); sons, Devon Lee (2006) and Jerry (1962); daughter, Mabel Kincaid (1999); grandson, Kim Petersen (1980); sisters, Mabel Hunt, Ina Tait, Jennetta Hunt and Vennetta Webster.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at the Enterprise LDS Ward Chapel, 620 East Main Street, Enterprise, Utah. A visitation will be held Thursday, prior to services, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will follow services at the Enterprise City Cemetery.
