St. George, Utah - Darlene Crofts Krauchuk born May 19, 1941 in Richfield, Sevier County, Utah, the daughter of Mary T. and Edward Arlos Crofts, passed away November 20, 2012 surrounded by many who loved her at Seasons Health and Rehabilitation Center. She is the beloved sister of brothers: Steve Crofts of North Salt Lake, Garth Crofts of St. George, Darel Crofts of Richfield, Larry Crofts Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, and Sylvan Ladd Crofts of Salt Lake City; and a sister, Katherine Edwards of St. George; and mother of two children: Alicia and Daniel; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Richfield High School on May 29, 1959, the last graduating class held from the old High School before it was torn down and a new building constructed.

She married Antonio Krauchuk June 14, 1968 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and lived in Salt Lake a big part of her life. She moved to St. George in 1987 to be closer to her mother and brother, Donald A. Crofts.

She has always been a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities. She loved music of all kinds ans especially hymns and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Her children are Alicia K. (Mark) Fenton of North Carolina and their four children: Stephanie, Mary, Camille and Nathan, whom Grandma Darlene loved with all her heart. They cheer her up, even as they lived so far away through letters and DVDs and phone calls and visits. Her son Daniel Krauchuk lives in Eureka, California and has become a doctor.

She was preceded in death by Antonio Krauchuk; two brothers, Donald A. Crofts and Berdene Crofts; and her parents Arlos and Mary Crofts.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday, prior to services at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Richfield Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
