St. George, UT - Darlene Self, age 81, passed away June 29, 2009, in St. George, UT. She was born February 9, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harry and Harriet Beatrice Dodworth Porter. She is survived by her sister, Norma Edwards of Petersburg, IL; her sons Richard Simonson and Todd Simonson; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. During her life she was a waitress and a secretary for the federal government. She graduated from Dixie College while in her 70's and served an LDS mission at the family history center. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. George LDS 26th Ward Chapel, 85 S. 400 E., St. George, UT.
