David was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; sister, Margaret "Peggy"; and his first wife, Hannah. He is survived by his wife, Dawna and their pets: Beau, Buddy and Odie. No formal services will be held at the mortuary. The American Legion & Utah Honor Guard will fold and present the flag to Dawna Friday, November 25, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221. When I go - dont put me in a cold steel box, in a hole of earth and rocks. Let fire cure my body ills and free my spirit as God wills. And let the ashes that remain become a part of sun and rain. And settle on mountains high - where flowers smile up to the sky... Then let my spirit drift forever as "drift wood" on the river. (Arthur Unknown)
