IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Robert
Jackson
March 28, 1972 – February 25, 2023
David Robert Jackson unexpectedly passed away in his sleep on February 25, 2023, at the age of 50. He was born on March 28, 1972, to Robert Boyd and Jacqueline Moss Jackson in Ogden, Utah.
In the mid-80's, his family moved to St. George. He attended Pine View High School where he later graduated in 1990 and spent his summers at his family cabin in Nordic Valley. He had a wonderful childhood, cherished memories with his grandparents, and earned his Eagle Scout. He enjoyed family trips camping at Greys River, Bear Lake and Lake Powell. David was very sentimental and loved his family.
After graduating from Pine View High School, he worked as an apprentice electrician at Triple E, with his brother-in-law. Soon after, he moved to Phoenix and earned a degree in accounting from Devry and then moved on to attend Weber State College, earning a degree in engineering.
David was sweet, kind, loyal and hardworking. He paid great attention to detail in all that he did. Everything was neat and completed exactly to specs. He was a dedicated son and worked side-by-side with his father learning the family business. He was a quiet and strong leader running the family business after his father retired. He took great care of his parents by lending a helping hand whenever needed. He was always reliable and showed his love through service to his family.
He married the love of his life and best friend, Patricia Shelley on May 25, 1997. He was a dedicated and thoughtful husband, and doted over their fur babies Rio, Kimber and Puddy. Patricia has many cherished memories of how he made her laugh and how they would talk for hours on end.
David enjoyed sci-fi movies, everything Star Wars, and anything 80s. He loved Pepsi and having lunch at Tom's Deli in St. George. He enjoyed his cars and took excellent care of them: Broncos, Jeeps and a camper. He had a large collection of guns and enjoyed gun shows and going to the gun range. He loved the peaceful outskirts of the desert and the solitary mountains. He longed to be away from the crowds and hustle of a big city.
David was always ready to make a funny remark and had a quick humor. He was a good listener and would spend hours visiting with family and friends. If you needed anything fixed he was your guy and did many projects around his house and his parents' house.
David's passing has left a big hole in our family. His quiet demeanor, witty sense of humor and ever loyal and reliable presence will be greatly missed. We love you, Dave!
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jackson; mother, Jacqueline Jackson; brother, Mark Jackson (Marisa); sister, Julie Empey (Bret); and seven nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Jackson; sister, Jennifer Jackson; his mother-in-law, Leona Graham Shelley; niece, Candace Jackson; and his grandparents.
