Ivins, UT - David T. Mackay passed away in Ivins, UT at home April 1, 2012 after an extended illness. It was David's wish to die at home without a lot of fanfare but surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 30, 1943 to Merrill B. Mackay and Peggy L. Mathews in SLC, UT. He married the love of his life Marchion Webb in SLC, UT on 6/18/66. He was born and raised in Utah and attended Granite High School. He was a "jack of all trades" and was able to create or fix most everything. He loved to tease, to fish, play golf, play the slots and travel with his wife. He was known by many names to his family: Honey, Davey, Pa Bear, Diamond Dave, Papa Dave, Grandpa and friend to many. Though he was a rebel and his own person, he loved his family above all else. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marchion; daughter, Raeko (Chris) Snohomish, WA ;son Matt (Jen) West Jordan, UT; and four wonderful grandchildren: Jared, Austin, Alexis and Nathan. David is also survived by his brothers: Larry and Dale; and sisters: Cheryl, Lori, Janet and Holly. At his request, there are no funeral services. But for those who knew him, remember him with fondness.
