Monroe / St. George, Utah - David Karl Mecham, Sr., 61, passed away at his home March 9, 2012. He was born June 18, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Karl G. and Lavada B. Mecham. He married the love of his life, Phyllis Mae January 31, 1969.

David was raised in Annabella, Utah, Hawaii and Las Vegas, Nevada. He was an avid football fan, loved to fish and hunt, and especially loved driving fast cars. His childrens most precious memories are of dad waking them up before the sun to get the best fishing spot.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of St. George; daughter, Sherry Mecham Booth of St. George; son, David Karl Mecham, Jr. of Richfield; four grandsons; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother and two sisters.
